Nissan Elgrand

Does anyone know anything about the Nissan Elgrand or have an opinion on it's reliability/service/spares etc ?

Yes I got an Elgrand 3.2td R reg...... and what a beasty it is too.......Usual Nissan engine with timing gears and build quality which I love.This one has "switch-able" 2-4 wheel drive and a difflock as well.I have gone over it with a fine toothed comb and it's needs a fair amount of welding on the passenger side sill but that's all as everything else is in great order.Oil ,air and fuel filters are easy to get but exhaust systems are not on the shelf at the moment so best bet is to get a stainless one made up.I have heard it shares a lot of it,s running gear with the Nissan Pathfinder so a bit of detective work is needed when ordering parts.Far better than my ole Mazda Bongo.Just looking at options for converting it at the moment but could well offer some work to someone to fit cabinets and a small sink cooker unit in it for me.You can buy the units on ebay and fit them yourself.The Elgrands are getting quite a following at the moment .
