hi im new to the site just bought a 3.0 terrano for 4995 with only 65000 on the clock trsded my 2.7 after 7 trouible free years these cars really are a bargain any advice on the 3.0 auto anything i should look out for any advice would be welcome.

Not seen an auto on here so probably not.....just check towing weight and think about having LSD and autobox oils changed.

Mines a ZD30 auto... as has been said it is not good for towing much over 1800Kg, other than that, it's a nice lazy drive with plenty of torque at low revs. RPM's at motorway speeds are pretty low too which makes for a quieter experience!
Pretty much all of the drive train and body parts are the same as the 2.7, save for the diff ratios and the obvious engine difference.

I forgot about you Raymondo! So 300cc just adds another 100kgs to towing weight, thats a bid sad but as you say, auto is far more relaxed at motorway speeds because of gearing. On the 2.7 its almost 800rpm less at 90 (3000rpm versus 3800 on the manual) - is it the same order of magnitude on the 3.0 auto?
