Hi Folks Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm the proud owner of a 2004 Terrano 3.0. Running BF Goodrich Tyres on 16" rims and a 2" lift. Hoping to do a couple of other things but they are on the back burner for now. My truck is a little quirky to say the least and has strange electrical faults that put themselves right. Anybody else have this?

What are the electrical faults that you have been suffering

Locking and unlocking itself. Just does it now and again and occasionally the indicators don't work, the dash lights flicker then they work again. I'm wondring if it has something to do with the immobiliser as I've tried everything else. Even had it on the diagnostics, nothing.

I guess you have the key with the plip built in, I would be checking the buttons for deterioration, Rick

Hi, Yes checked keys changed batteries everything. I also renewed the car battery as the one on it was goosed. That seemed to cure it for a while but every now and again it goes back to it's old tricks. The other thing I wanted to ask you chaps and chapeses on here was has anyone put a double din stereo into a terrano 2 and how they went about it?

Hiya mate and welcome, standard stereo in terrano is smaller than double din so they're not a straight fit!, and the hazard warning switch is built into the head unit, a bit of a pain like!!

Depending on model, you'll need something like this in order to take a standard singlr din radio.

I think you've just nailed it after I read this post, it sounds like your battery might have been OK and when you replaced it for a new one you disturbed the cabling, I suspect you may have a knackered terminal or bad battery connection.

My positive terminal on my Maverick corroded on the inside and I had to splice a new one on, have a search for " Marvin the Maverick" there are pictures in the project thread may help with yours.

It's a double din stereo I'm wanting to fit and after having a good look it looks like I may have to do a bit of butchering.
