Hiya my names greg from Nottingham just brought a 52 5door 2.7 terrano TD se body's in fantastic shape only done 58k from new does have a dodgy 2nd gear syncro though but got it at a good price . so here's the first question where's the best place for either a decent second hand box or a reasonably priced recon box or someone who can recon mine .
Cheers in advance

Welcome aboard, sorry no idea in your area. We got one or two members on here breaking these trucks so you may be able to get a good deal on a second hand box.

The gearbox is the biggest downfall to the terrano / maverick

I would say the synchros are going

Personally I'd get yours refurbed so you know its done & going to out last the truck

The average milage before a box goes is normally 150000 miles, if its under its been abused or done a lot of towing

( & I have done plenty of 2nd hand gearboxs, NEVER again ;) )

The for the welcomes is there a for sale section I can keep my eye on aswell

Not sure if you'll get access to for sale unless you have a full membership. Have to say I've saved more than a tenner a year being a full member on here.

I'll def be joining once I get a spare tenner in the bank its all bills at minute

Howdy,And yeah it will be the best tenner you will have spent.(Unless you have bought the jackpot winning lotto ticket)

Howdy dude, welcome to the forum. Great place here. Almost like a second family *wipes tear* :augie

But really good bunch of peeps on here, paid my rent for the year and yeah, saved myself a fortune, and on fuel too :thumbs

There is also a download/workshop section on here that you will certainly find helpful! As mentioned the two guys above are breakers but perhaps overhauling yours may be a smarter move, depending on cost :thumb2

Good luck and again, welcome!!

Got any pics?
