Just picked up the swb 2.4i Maverick from Banshee's gaff.
Nice little project for me to get my teeth into.

Not going mad with this one.
Just sort out what needs doing and leave it standardish as the mrs will be using it as a run about when its finished.

Good stuff :thumb2
Banshee will be making room for something else then :naughty

Glad you got it all mate and it all went to plan

Keep this updated as you go mate with plenty of pics, I can't wait to see you breathe life back into this mate, I'm actually thrilled you've had it

First job is to rearrange the drive so i can get round it to work on.Seem to have an extra trailer in my way:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

I always liked the look of the SWB trucks, that seems like a good base for a project. Keep the updates and photos coming.

Will do Jim:thumb2
Probably not get into it until the new year as I've got the mot on mine mid January so will have to focus my efforts on making sure everything is hunky dory on it before i take it for the test.

Made a start on the Maverano today:thumb2
Took the front bumper off and started to cut away the rotted front cross member and body mounts.

Awesome start buddy, I would have needed major help tackling this :( I really need some hands on with some fabrication to brush up my skills.

What are the overall ideal plans for it mate?

How's the LPG holding up? Is it still holding it's pressure, I was closely monitoring it and I think it's perfect :thumb2

I'm planning on keeping it once its all sorted.
For now i just want to get it up and running and back on the road.
Don't really want to go mad with modding it as it looks tidy as it is.
A body lift, some AT tyres and a snorkel are really the only mods i plan on doing.

Oh Elty, please don’t take this the wrong way but this put a smile on my face. Sorry mate it made me chuckle. I know compared to you truck those few mods are hardly modding.
It’s a greal looking truck and looks nice and original.

Like i said in the first post Jim its staying standardish.
Body lift will allow me to fit some 31's without having to chop at anything.
It needs to be able to hold its own on the lanes so a bit more ground clearance will serve it well:thumb2

Got the front end all welded up and painted today:thumb2
Onto the sills next.20190224_160436.jpg
