hey chaps!

got some "new" wheels and tyres from Steve today (R1cho), which for the price I paid, are a total bargain so, many thanks to Steve for them. They are pretty much like new, and I am very chuffed indeed. The car actually felt much better to drive, and, for some odd reason, my steering now seems straight, as opposed to slightly off centre to the right, well, im not complaining.

Anyway, in doing the job of swapping the wheels, I noted two things, one, i need some new hub cover thingies, any idea where to get them from?

Second, I might have found the location of my mysterious knocking noise:

what do you think? Im missing a huge rubber bump stop jobby. The other side is there but loose, where do i get these from, i had better get two. More to the point, is it likely to be the cause of my mystery knock? I think it is, as its a hell of a wallop sometimes....!

ah sorry, ill do y'all some tomorrow i ran out of day light!

Glad ya happy with em m8, i need a new rim after todays laning :lol:lol

Bummer, but then you were unlucky to catch the wall of the tyre and then run the rim onto the only rock in the village :doh

You can get it fixed though, just find yourself a good ally welder and get it weldered . Grind back and bingo :clap

That said for offroading steelies are a better choice, not that I use 'em :sly
I've got proper 4x4 alloys though that are stronger but still reckon mine would have been mushed in the same senario

be careful alloys tend to crack up when reshaped OK for off road stuff but would not venture on a motorway of fast road with it, Rick
