HI all,
finally picked up my "new" Terrano tonight. 03 plate with plenty of body work jobs to sort out. Structurally looks sound, thankfully, and the interior though smelly of dogs is quite reasonable (needs a massive valet).
As said, I have a few issues to sort. I need to:
remove the nearside rear arch trim and repair the outer arch near the bottom - door has hit a wall or something and so has damaged the door, lost the trim, and damaged that part of the arch but nothing horrendous.
Remove front bumper and re fit properly
remove rear bumper - repair rust to the nearside lower part of the body work on the corner, and the usual spot further towards the light sensor. There seems to be an odd number of what look like rivets in the top of the bumper, either side of the spare wheel, so im hoping that's not holding the bumper on but as far as I can see, everything underneath is ok - a proper look will reveal more.
check for oil leak - may have oil leak. can see oil down below, and some around below the filler, kinda hoping its just a spill. oil level is fine so will monitor.
clean engine bay
repair rubber flaps both front arches
clean the whole interior and seats, including roof lining, sun visors etc - its filthy.
replace passenger seat belt - dogs eaten it evidently.
repair passenger wing mirror motor - cant adjust
rub down sills - got surface rust cant see anything major but will source any drainage pipes and clean out, then perhaps sort the inner sills out with some waxoyl.
waxoyl underneath - though looks partially done in places nice and neat.
check aircon and fix if not working - I haven't tested it yet.
replace or repair nearside rear door rubber strip - top corner has become deformed.
that's it so far. Thanks to the club, I have already fixed a flashing air bag warning light :thumbs:bow
