Hi,

Just thought I'd say thankyou to everyone that advised on the problem with my ignition.

Got a new switch from Nissan Main Stealer (£34.26) fitted it at the weekend, took about 30 mins. Now Starts first time with no messing around trying to turn the key slowly for the contacts to work.

If anyone else is looking to do this then it's a simple job, trust me it must be if I could do it.!!

It is a bit awkward to undo the screw olding the switch in place but all I did was use a Phillips Screw Driver bit and a pair of medium length thin nose pliers to loosen it then just used my fingers to remove the screw, very easy. The longest part to the whole job was working out how to remove the screw.!!

Thanks Again.
Hewey.

Cool :) ... I remember my fingers cramping like hell when I did mine .....amongst other muscles it doesn't help the fact that you're on the floor twisted up like a telephone cord trying to undo it :)
