My trucks been sounding like an automatic since before Christmas.
I've been waiting for my mates garage & lift to become free, as it's full of his daughter's house move. The chain broke after she sold hers & moved out
I've nursed it as long as I dare ;)
I spoke to Brandon (one of our lasses lads) over the week & he's now doing it for me this weekend in the garage were he works for a little over £100.00.
Not even worth getting my hands dirty.
He's done his home work too, exploring all options to make the job easier.
There will be a bonus in it for him as I don't expect him to work for a pittance :thumb2
I drove up to Sheffield last night, left her with him & drove back with Di for the weekend.
Di collected two new tyres for the front as my tracking's way out & they've scrubbed the outside edge. I didn't see the point in having tracked only to have it tracked again after the work had been done.
He said I can get these fitted & tracked too if you want :thumb2
Nice result :D :D

Excellent mate, doubt I'd tackle that job. Remember when my last Terrano clutch went, didn't show any signs until a few seconds before when I heard a couple of knocks as the friction plate started to break up. The club members got together and towed me up to a garage a few miles away, Clivvy sat in the truck with me and Briggie gave me and Clivvy a lift home. Cost £300 all in which at the time I thought was good and to be honest I would still be happy to pay but I guess the prices will have risen by now.
Actually it was good fun getting it to the garage it was like a Terrano convoy :lol

Brandon called me yesterday evening to tell me she's all done :D
I asked how it went, (viewers discretion needed) he said "it was a c u next tuesday" :lol

I did ask how much I owed, but he wasn't sure I think it depends on what he get the tyres fitted & tracked for.

I'll ring him later for the result :) :)

He tells me I have a hole in the exhaust again, the opposite end to were I welded last time, I knew I had a hole, because I could hear the valve hiss.
Looks like I'll be welding again soon

Well done Brandon:clap

Good news that it's all fixed up though, I'm sure you'll have the exhaust sorted soon.

Amazing how fast you can do a clucth swap with a lift [emoji38]

Well she's home & I must admit I didn't like not having her around. It's been less than 48 hours & it's been horrible, I've really missed her :( :( I've been driving Di's Corsa which sits sooooo low :lol :lol
We had a run up to another town a few miles away yesterday, I'd only been driving for 1/2 a mile & I had a knob in transit right on my arse wanting to push me   I guess it goes with small cars ;) Never happens in the truck  :augie

Brandon only charged me a ton, he was happy & wouldn't take more.

I didn't get the tyres done as the guy said they're too big for his tyre machine :lol
Off to ETS tomorrow to have them fitted & tracked :thumb2
