Hi Nissan owners. Thought I'd join up with the club and share some stories and info.

Where I live there is actually a large number of 1980s/1990s Nissan Patrols (RD28s with and without turbos) and a beautiful LWB that looks like it has just come out of the factory (unlike my SWB, which has been in a few fights).

Fantastically strong car, and all the mechanics I know say that they are better than the modern ones for durability.

Weak points: Heater fan, pre-heaters (glow plugs) which make cold starts a bit smoky!!, Prone to a water leak from a stainless steel tee that leaks on the weld. That one cost me a cylinder head skim and new gasket. Replaced tee with plastic.

Good points: None.

Excellent points: Everything else. I LOVE this car!:clap :bow:bow

...and no, I don't care that it only generates 60hp - she climbs hills easily at 1,200RPM - just grinds her way up there. A TRACTOR!

Hola and welcome to the forum. Visited Granada a few times with students before retirement, great place with stacks of history and wonderful people. Unfortunately, Yo no hablo español, so I had to depend on my colleague who was born and bred there.

Hello and welcome :thumb2.
My Spanish is terrible, but did go to Spain a few years back to watch a couple of ship launches with my girlfriends work. Loved the fruit growing on the trees along the streets.

Hi back

Hi Micken,

Yes, I love it here - you can see photos in my album on this site.

Sorry - I started this thread in the wrong place so have copied it to "Newbies".

I really shouldn't be in charge of a computer.:augie

I actually live in the province of Granada but about 1hr 20 mins from that wonderful city.

Don't worry about not speaking spanish - there are brits who have been here for years who don't speak it either :doh

There should be one here........

Many thanks - there's more in my album. I'll be taking some more snaps of mud-plugging IF we get some more rain before next Winter!
