New boy with a new toy!

Just joined as treated myself to a Blue Terrano 3lt SVE TD Auto.
Going to be using it to pull our tin shed and a bigger one we hope to buy in the new year.
Been away a couple of times and pulls like a dream a lot better than our last tug which was a Freelander.
Now after reading various posts I am begining to wonder if it will do the job? First auto I have had and was told they are good for towing. Hope so as I want to tow a van that weighs approx 1800kgs MTPLM. (2000kgs max towing weight?)
Will not be driving accross deserts or up mountains so I'm really hoping its up to the job as her indoors really likes it as well.
Really impressed with all the info and help that seems available from everyone out there so any advice greatfully received.

Welcome mate, plenty on here, I do not have an Auto so cannot comment on towing ability, but the manual as a tow car is really great, I regularly tow a 4 wheel car trailer with a T2 on it often grossing 4.5 tonnes, bit slow on the hills but otherwise flies, and solid as a rock, anyhow some Auto owners will be along soon, only thing I do know about Auto's is you need a good oil cooler, Rick

2tonne gross trailer weight should be enough for any uk domestic caravan,

former member davemud had a 3.0 auto and pulled a 4 wheel tintent, to spain
every summer no issues.

would image his 'van then was like my abbey spectrum, around 1660kg max.

I have the manual 3.0 and it tows like a dream, can't comment on the auto.
