Built one for my last Terrano 4-5 years ago & loved it & now having a Terrano again I had to have another plus it makes driving so much more comfy as I suffer a lot from frozen shoulders. I was going to spray it satin black to match the dash but changed my mind & did it silver to match the centre dash:thumb2

GFI can't beat a bit of custom interiors :D
Will you be doing a new sound system install too ? :sly

The armrest is one of my fav mods:D sound system is 80% done going to make up another set of front speaker baffles for the, 6.5" 2 ways as I think I can get better aiming & sound, got 5 1/4" 2 ways in rear doors on custom baffles, 10" sub & amp fitted with release plug so can be removed easily but going to build a new ported box for the sub & poss replace the nissan tweeters & make up some fibreglass pods to mount them in to get better sound stage

Cool :thumb2 I'd like to see the mounts and baffles. I've 6 x 9 s in my front doors and 10" free air subs in the rear arm rest positions (SWB) two more 6 x 9 s behind front seats. Still using std Nissan tweeters .
Have you heard these new low profile under seat subs ? 8" active for example. Vibe do them. I'm thinking of trying them in my vito ? :augie

The baffles are MDF rings that mount to the doors & speakers are screwed on but you can change the speakers angle if you want (more work) & as the MDF is solid you get a better sound from your speakers. I'll send you some pic's

Ah right, I get you. I thought it was some sort of panel IN the door to deflect sounds etc.
I've done similar in my trol. The fronts are "baffled".
On the T2 I cut the door a bit to get the 6x9s in but kept the original outer grill?
I see what you mean about panel rigidity as the rear speakers in mine are rigid mounted and produce a much clearer sound output ;)
I'll redo the front know then, cheers

Need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know how much and I'll take one

Where's the arm rest from?

It's home made Zippy:thumb2 The bottom bit is the standard T2 item & the top half is from a Vectra B which needs a lot of cutting down, then bonded together then blended together with body filler:thumb2

Armrest

Looks very Good!!

Funnily enough I have always found it a bit strange that the box cover is so far back and so low.

Lots of arm rests for sale on Ebay but which cars armrest would require the least modification??? How about a sliding one???:naughty

No idea about the ebay armrests but got mine for a fiver plus a few hours trimming it down, sanding & then painting it
