Just for clarity, I take it we are talking Mazda Tribute here yes? And welcome to the looneybin! LOL

Yeah thats the one. Closest one ive seen too it. :) are green lanes marked on ordenance survey maps? Every time we pass a dirt road the wife wants me too drive down it..

the ford (mazda) mav is quite capable, more along lines of a freelander
than a t2. a mate of mine and former member/mod here cameraman
had a 3 litre petrol auto. had a thirst though, i believe some of the 2.0s
see action in peak park with the ranger service maintaining rights of
way etc.

was also know in states as ford escape, definite yank feel to it...

suppose in nissan circles like an xtrail, a soft roader as defined by lack
of low box and electonically engaged rear wheel drive to supplement
the regular front wheel drive.

suspect zero modding parts available unless you look to the states but
suspect will do more than you expect it to.

yes they are. -+-+-+-+-

those are boats, or byways open to all traffic, so have motor rights, beware though
as in some cases aren't suitable to 4 wheeled vehicles due to say narrow gates etc.

there are also orpa's other routes public access, not marked as anything but as a white
lane. their are sites like wayfinder which will tell you if an orpa has vehicle rights.

in my area, 50% of a days laning will be on such orpa's so plenty of study needed
first.

do not use a restricted byway, these are lanes that typically were called rupp's
before NERC act came along, roads used as public path. basically best now seen
as a bridleway and out of bounds to cars. there were some rupps that had vehicle
rights but pretty much swept away in the reforms of above act.

that said swings and roundabouts as we gained the orpa lanes many of which were
very unclear on their access rights.

FINALLY BEST NOT TO GO ALONE, either risk of getting stuck, or argumentive
land owners, or worst still aggressive bobblies aka ramblers who all to frequently
think they own the route!

:dohyeah i got the wrong end of the stick as well when she said shewanted to go for a rough ride. :lol:lol:lol
thanks forthe tips.
are there any green laning days coming up in the near future.
and should i be askingthese questions on this thread or somewhere else?

its nice and friendly this club, you can ask what you like where you like...

no one will get the hump with " off topic" unlike some other clubs :clap
