Need help with MIL lamp and/or ECU codes please

I see a few posts on here regarding MIL lights and ECU codes and as my 2.4 Terrano is not running as good as it should I wonder if someone could give me an Idiot's guide on how to check it out?

this could lead to disappointment.... like reading a health book and diagnosing yourself..... you could end up with everything lol :lol:


look in downloads there is one for accessing error codes

Thanks for the help but the only one I could find is for the Oil Burner, is it the same for the the petrol engine?

but dont all nissans self diagnose with flashing lights my old zx did....... till i killed it (those damd little heater pipes behind the engine) but then if you'v had a zx you have had some of them pipes too .

will look further into it

Petrol ecu pants results poo grumble grr :evil:
Tried for ages to sort my petrol runnin ruff, with no joy. so took it to an expert ecu ist. No mil light . On ecu investigation nothing conclusive :evil:
Changed everything it indicated but still poo :evil:
After various runs and resets it's still the same and I'm considerably worse off for it :evil:
So bought another mav off ebay 8) much cheaper than fixing the old one :wink:
Good luck and if you do find the answer let me know and I can sell my old one then :lol:
