I had to buy a new dip stick for the Picasso, as it could no longer reach the oil.:lol:lol

What actually happened was the bottom 2 inches broke off and went into the sump, a common problem on the 1.6 hdi engine. It should still be in there! unless it came out in an oil change:augie

I checked prices on ebay and such like, then a quick call to a local Citroen dealer showed a better deal, and they had loads in stock....(I wonder why?)

So try main dealer BUT they will want to know all chassis number details before they can quote.:doh

These engines are used in lots of cars these days, clearly Peugeot, as linked to citroen, but also some on the Ford models.

A good engine as far as I can see.:thumbs

I would not be buying stealer priced sticks, just do an oil change and fill with the correct fill and dip it, make a stick and mark it at the full point, simples, Rick
