Since I have had my Patrol the headlamp washers have never worked, I had a look to find the pump split in two and a bolt shoved up pipe to stop the bottle from emptying.
Flatly refused to pay the stealer price of £170.00!!! so have kept in contact with Nispec 1st waiting for a Patrol to appear, problem is only the facelift have washers as before that was eadlamp wipers so not many get broken.

Yesterday they got one in I hope it was not someone on this forum as it sounded very bad, they had to check pump not smashed due to front end damage and it had rolled more than once.

Shame that a Patrol has been totalled but hopefully no one was hurt to badly and I look forward to being able to wash my headlights on these dark dirty nights.

Kind regards

Russell.

You could always swap the front and rear pipes around so that you can stall wash your headlights.
Another alternative is to put a y piece in, you will use mor water but at least it will work:thumb2

Mine has 3 pumps 2 small ones attached to the washer bottle front and rear window washer and a big one attached by pipe to washer bottle this is the headlamp washer pump and has much bigger pipes etc than the window ones.

Kind regards

Russell.

Some T2's had that set up bottle on nearside where the ABS pump would be on the later ones, has three pumps with big pipe to HL washers, got one some place, Rick

My headlight washer pump casing cracked not long after I got the Trol - my best guess is the previous owner had used pure water at some time and there was still some in the pump when I brought her up to Scotland and the Arctic conditions of March time last year

Had I just removed the feed pipe and blocked the hole in the washer bottle. Headlight washers were removed when I fitted the winch bumper anyway!

My pump was missing the bowl off the base of it and I guessed that the water in it had frozen at some time and broken it looks like will need screen wash in at all times.

Kind regards

Russell.

EXACTLY what had happened with mine!

That reminds me though, now that the washer nozzles are gone I must get the headlight washer switch wired up to an air horn :sly
