ok. We have been having cars attaked where we live. cars have been hit, scrached, dented and so on. right.. we had been to the scrapyard looking to see if there were any old 4x4s and on the road back there was a loud bang from the rear left wheel and my t2 went down at the back. turns out the wheel nuts came off and hub/drum brake landed on the inner alloy. we think someone may have loosend them. we were only going 35mph IMG_8038.JPG

sorry to hear that, theres sum gits out there, hope it hasn't put you off, you still gonna make the east midlands rally?

rear studs are easy to replace, remove the brake drum and punch the old stud through pull the new one in with wheel nut and loads of washers, Rick

Could have been in A lot worse place though but you dont want wheels falling off anywhere !

i think there is a case here for putting at least 3 locking wheel nuts per wheel on .... maybe more

unbelievable aresholes.

I had this done to me a while back, at least I think i did. at first I thought it was the guy i bought the car off not tightening the wheel nuts up properly as he said he did the front breaks. but ALL the wheels? plus, id had the car a few weeks....turned out pretty much all the wheel nuts were loose, and i had a knocking sound, nothing bad happend though, and no damage, but its damn well dangerous what they are doing, and I dont understand why.

that looks good briggie, but you CANT use them if you record anything of the public highway foot pathes ect.

actually ...... if you provide a visual warning ( ie a little sign ) that person(s) may be recorded ..... and they choose to ignore the sign ... they are effectively giving their consent to have images/audio recorded , unless of course the law has changed since i worked in the field :nenau

actually you can, it even helps with insurance claims, they use them in australia for just such purpose

Absolutely correct. Currently there is NO LEGISLATION whatsoever covering the use of CCTV, private or official. The Data Protection Act is therefore used to administer issues around public CCTV but domestic CCTV is wholly and fully exempt.

I mean think about it - your camera phone would be illegal straight off the bat!:thumbs
