just to cut a bit of grass? think I will just carry on getting my brother in law to do mine, at that price I thought it would have at least been a ride on, Rick

had one of them nicked as well about a year ago, your looking over £10k for a good pro-user machine

I had a westfield two culider 14 hp stolen :(

the are pretty good mowers, but imagine mowing with one all day every day, that's where the big price tag comes from - I think - however people justify the prices of the top machines I wont be buying any again :(

there are some made for towing, they have a Honda engine on top for power and you just tow them. I am thinking of getting one. But i don't think they are a very good quality cut, ideal for paddocks etc. but not for anything that has to be tidy.

FFS, why not get some sheep, what is it we have in this country about cutting grass? everyone seems to spend a fortune on it? Rick

I have sheep, goats, horses, but people pay me to cut their grass. I am on your side, can't stand the bloody stuff but cash is cash :thumbs

Ah sorry, bit slow on the uptake, it's your business so yes can see the need for quality gear, but security is a problem, no easy answers to that, depends on where you live etc, have you thought about CCTV it can be a real off put to thieves, even if you do not have a "real" camera or a concreted in ground anchor that is heavy chained to your mower, but maybe you live out in the sticks, so are isolated from grinder noise etc, give me some clues, Rick

we had a long thread on my security issue on here not long ago. A lot of my stuff is out in the sticks, though recently a couple of arrests were made (partly down to my sleuthing and sticking my oar in with the police) and things seem to have calmed down a bit now :thumb2

I must say, that i think security should be built in by manufacturers. For example: locking points on equipment like mowers and generators (an eye bolt in a strong place would hep) and really going to town with the serial numbers, instead of just a sticker have it stamped into the surface in as big a font as possible and in full view, not out of site underneath!

just a thought but hy not get it all done in that smart water?
