Wow it is bright....

oh and we need some night pics of it on :thumbs :lol

Very nice, But looks like you could mount it lower with a bit of work.

I will see if I can get some later.. tried to take some looking at it in daylight, with my phone, but the phone just went black, and all you had was a white blur...:lol

 how much did that set you back then?
nothing... my good lady bought it for me... We were on Ebay late one night, and found one that no one had bid on. We stuck a bid on, expecting to be out bid at the last moment, but it only went up a couple of quid, and we got it for £140 all in.

Yes, I know, it was meant to be level with the top of the windscreen.

I have to re-make the brackets from scratch, but I need to order some bits in first. The brackets that come with it, do not have any adjustment to take into account the roof curves over at the edges, so I decided to make up brackets to use the original mountings I put in for the old lightbar. The problem is, I did not take into account just how much the roof curves in all directions at the front, so the bars I made are too short.

What happened to your other roof lights :augie:thumbs:bow

My mate has one on his Jeep & from the pic i've seen of it at night it's really bright. Be careful you might get mistaken for a low flying UFO soon:lol

Suz was late home tonight, so it was after dark, when I popped out to get her... It's through the town, so not much chance for main beam, but when I did finally find a dark bit, and flicked up onto main beam... Even Suz stopped what she was talking about mid sentance, and just said... "$h1t, they're bright".

I read somewhere that 1watt of LED, is the equivalent of 6 watt of standard Halogen, I thought it was an over estimate, as that means I have 1.44Kw of light just on the roof. Sort of pales the 220w of headlights and spots on the bull bar into insignificance. But now having seen the light, I really can believe it.. Can't wait to pop out to a back road, and do some tests....

Whats the range & beam spread like compared to your 4 spot lights ? know you've not had chance to test them out but would be interested to know:thumbs

Basically, the outer 4 columns on each side are wide angle, and the remaining centre one are pin point, so you get spread to the side of the car. and a huge spot light in the middle. When I tried it out in the garden, shining around like a torch, it has a pretty tight beam.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow night, and show you.

I have a NightCore Tiny Monster LED torch, which is 2450lm, and I reckon that is easily as bright as one of the front spot lights.

Suz took these for me tonight using my phone camera...

This is the T2's normal dipped beam.

This is main beam with 2 x 55w spots on the bull bars. I thought these were nice and bright.
