no action pics I am afraid, far too busy playing, and breaking yet more shafts have done the other side front now, have come to the conclusion the Diesel shafts are made out of chocolate as I had no bother with the petrol, and petrol shafts are going in now, the Rangei v8 did a rear shaft, and one of the quad bikes don't run no more, so it was an event full day, I will give you a glimps of the mud we had, Rick

Did you use a spray gun to get that mud so even all over? :lol:lol:lol

I have seen worse paint jobs.:lol

yep removed it and stuck it in the TDi, there could be a small ratio difference front to rear but cannot see this making much difference and did the same routes at both sites, must say that today we were not gunning particularly hard but heard the bang and came to a stop backed of a little and gripped again till nsf hit the hole again and knew then it was the osf gone, had hoped it was the auto locker but no as far as I am concerned at the moment they are rock solid, Rick

do not know that they actually are, just a theory at the mo but there could be other things coming into play, all I can say is the petrol had no problems, doing the same stuff with the diesel has broke both front shafts, it could be entirely down to the fact that when I did the damage first time round I was being aggressive big time as with a big audience I was not going to fail, entirely not my normal driving, I feel for my motor and treat it with respect, but not on this occasion, so this just may have damaged both shafts, certainly the damage to the ns one was extreme everything went so for the os to be fractured would not be unreasonable, time will tell, incidentally with a locked front diff and one shaft gone I have 3 wheel drive, with the lokka I will be back to 2 mmmmm, Rick

There was another guy on here a few years back with a lokka in his T2 trtay back dedicated offroader, he had no issues I'm aware of

time will tell, time will tell, what I did like today was the RR before he broke his rear axle got stuck in my mud place that I can piss round in my skinnys and had to winch him out and he and others declined to enter or carry on, I pissed about in there for half an hour or so but with no one else about it was boring so left, even one of the marshals had trouble getting out, I could choose whatever route I liked, great fun, Rick

Good tyre choice is key in wet goo . I used to run 12.5" wide and they were great on the beach and the grass, but if the wet mud had no solid under it they would just spin up.
Now on 10.5" and one hell of a difference in the goo

absolutely, both Slindon and Boxgrove are broadly the same wet mud on top course dry mud under so tyre choice is the decider, I see many motors with big wide tyres that just skate about on top, then they say to me you are getting about OK, I smile, Rick
