Those "side steps" you call them are a custom copy of the factory ones just made from 6 ml wall steam pipe, they are not the lowest point under the truck they sit slightly higher then the chassi rails and are probably the most heavy duty stealth rock sliders you'll ever see.

even the bull bar is 90 mm steam pipe and 6 ml and 8ml plate steel.
