Got issues again with this motor, during my latests preps for MOT I left the drivers door open a little, so flattening the battery, so now it will not fire. had this issue before, but not sure how I sorted it, tried everything I can think of but no go, any ideas? Rick

Thank's Clive, but pliped locked it and unlocked it a dozen times, still no go removed the battery for an hour still no go, left battery on for 2 od hours nothing, when last in Sittingbourne and waiting for recovery I had battery connected and as needed to charge flat phone bat had ignition turned to aux pos for an hour or two while trying to sleep etc, lo and behold when recovery turned up it started, I am goosed, Rick

Can you try running a feed direct to glow plugs to rule out the glow plug relay.

try open and close drivers door with key.leave a bit, then unlock with fob a d open door then key in and turn over, hope it does for you.

previously when i have had this problem i sprayed easy start in intake to get it to start after having battery issues then once fired never occured again i did read some years that it forces like a reboot of ecu never seen how it did it but always worked for me

OK new slant on the problem now the NATs light flashes rapidly when locked, but goes out when unlocked with the remote or once key in ignition, Rick

Rick try bridging a positive feed direct to glow plugs and try starting it. Same symptoms as a friend of mine with his mav, ended up being the glow plug relay connections corroded.

Thanks Jim but already had a clamp meter on the glow plug wire so not only is relay good but plugs draw good amps as well, disconnected the battery for a while when it was locked and NATs flashing fast, upon reconnecting NATs flashed normal so unlocked it and tried to start, no joy on first attempt, but tried it again and away it went, no rhyme or reason to this, Rick

So some how it’s fixed and running again. Think that NATS system really has a lot to answer for.
Anyway main thing is your wife is mobile again just the MOT to pass and knowing your workmanship it’s just a tick in a box.

I know countless people that this has happened to but never had it myself yet and hope never to!!!!

Sounds very weird Rick :nenau
