terrano in for mot 2day, took it to farmers & got told they had to cancel mot due to the fact they couldn't get the wheels off the ramp/ground!!! :thumb2:thumb2

Its only had a 2" suspension lift & arb's are still attached, guy said that he had a disco in with a 2" suspension & body lift & still managed to get the wheels off the ground.... :D:D:D

Its away to another station now just waiting on the results :bow

failed on:

handbrake efficiency *dangerous

headlight too low

batteries insecure

wiper blade & arm missing  it doesn't turn so was removed before i got it & not a fail

front shock insecure (bracket broke) only just noticed as its jammed itself so no bang or nowt :doh:doh (not dangerous apparently :confused::confused:)

cv joint gator burst (got a new cv here)

never picked up on the load sensor spring being missing & that was with vosa inspecting. oh well down the unit 2moro then...least we got heating :thumb2

not bad. I don't think the load sensor is a fail 9because the brakes work fine, the load sensor only activates when towing or carry a heavy load...I think?)

Headlamps-its not the adjuster is it under the dash?

rear wiper, id have thought they couldn't test it, cos it aint there....not sure about that one!!

all in all, not bad though?

its a front wiper & thats what i thought too, no don't think it is but will check 2moro in the unit....suppose it ain't too bad tho spent enough on it

oh the front wiper, yes, definitely a fail if it aint there love!!

because the car came out the factory with TWo front wiper blades, and you have one missing, you cant clear the area of the windscreen that needs to be clear for it to pass an MOT...!

the arm isn't there tho & it passed last yr without it, other arm has been centred to cover area

OH I see, details dear, details!!

hmm...odd, maybe this MOT inspector didnt realise?? does the single blade sweep the same area of windscreen as the original two?? or is it just one blade, that's been made a bit longer or something?? OR, have you properly centred the motor/wiper arm, and does that cover both sides of the windscreen..?

covers both sides & has a longer blade to get proper height

see what happens when you take it back. end of the day, you have a fully working wiper that covers the screen as it should-only thing I can think of, is that with it being a single blade, the arc doesn't cover the required surface area of the glass...in which case you may find it tricky getting it passed as its now on the system.

just made up a baterry strap, reattached the driver's side arm, got a wiper arm off a micra in the scrappy's for £5, & done handbrake again (1st it was too loss then too tight), so only cost a £5 + fuel to station twice

got bolts for my rose joint/drop link conversion so do that 2moro since he still never noticed it :doh

i am putting my t2 in on 22nd,the earliest it can go in to keep the 13month date.
this is a new car to me,dont know ship about them, only got it to tow and run on wvo.
the exhaust is being welded today i hope if there is ramp room.
anything else is in the hands of the gods.
