Just brimmed the fuel tank and inflated all the tyres and taken car for a 25 mile run to warm up the tyres to remove any flat spots from standing over the last 7 months.

Checked all the lights keeping finger crossed for Mondays test should be okay only done 205 miles!

It has passed !

Well it passed only fault found was that the headlamp level adjuster was not working fully - as beam adjustment was spot on just a verbal advice.

I have never used the adjuster wheel in the last 14 years so I guess the adjustment system might need some attention. Will try WD40 first!

Collapsed vacuum pipe !

Had a look on the internet and was slightly surprised to find that the headlamp adjuster is not electrical but vacuum operated !

Had a look the nearside mechanism - it has a nice purple vacuum pipe that looked okay.
Checked the offside and the pipe looked like it had been run over by a steam roller ! To describe it as flat is an understatement. Ordered 5 meters from work and its a heady £9.75.
