Hi again lads, so the beast passed its mot with a few minors, oil leak at gearbox and engine, and corroded fuel line.

The oil leaks, its a mess of old oil under there so if i clean it up hows best to test where its coming from? Ive heard putting uv ink in helps?

Fuel lines, this sounds major so best to get this done asap i guess??

Other wise shes running great, good for another year woop! Time for mountainbiking. Cheers again

Fuel line is simple 6mm and 8mm. Clear fuel pipe

Ingot mine from oilybits.com

Fuel lines easy peasy but take your time and expect what looks like gallons of fuel leaking on to the floor but actually it's less than a cup full. Guess what your engine will run loads smoother too:thumbs
There is a download on here plus theres loads of threads that will give you exact inside diameter pipe to use and even links where to order it. Bigbunny did my engine feed line and then shortly afterwards I did my return it was so easy. Take your tme working the screws back and forth on the inspection cover in boot floor so you minimise the snapped screws.

As for oil leaks, I was told clean engine and gearbox up and sprinkle talc around to show the fresh oil. Not tried it and it sounds messy. Personally I would clean up with a degreasent spray and then hose or pressure wash off being carefull where the water goes on the engine of course. Then run it for a few days and have a dam good look around.

Good luck

Did my fuel lines yesterday:thumb2
Replaced the lot along the chassis with rubber fuel hose.
