At the begining of July I changed the Insurance on my Chrysler from "Quote Me Happy" to "More Than" not just because it saved me £40 on my renewal but it was also for a lower excess. I paid my years premium in full and supplied them with details of my previous insurer including policy number etc as requested.
I was issued with a full 12 month Insurance Certificate and had an e-mail confirming my proof on no claims discount had been confirmed.
Imagine my surprise when on Monday I received a letter from "More Than" Customer Relations Manager (Computer generated and signed) to the effect that they had not received any confirmation from my previous insurers of my NCB entillent.
If I failed to send proof of my NCB entitlement within 14 days they would cancel my insurance!
In the same letter it stated that the letter sent to me confirming my NCB entitlement was an automated response and to ignore it !
I have sent by recorded delivery my proof of NCB downloaded from Q.M.H. website together with a copy of the one from the previous year when I was with Saga.
Guess who will not be renewing with "More Than" next year if this is a demonstration of how they treat new customers with draconian threats of cancellation on first requests. Had I not paid for the annual premium I would have told them to get stuffed but the cancellation charges are too much for a gesture of my discontent.
