Well was here this time last year, the dash went bananas and ended up with the
rev counter spinning round to bottom of dial. Was fixed by auto electrician whilst
sorting air bag light fault. believed was going to take clocks out but think didn't
need to as it reset its self.
Few weeks ago all went right round but switched off and on and recovered.

Last week all went right round, but all but rev counter recovered. Now the digital
display has blanked out. Speedo and fuel temp are stuck at correct zero position.

So do I get new cluster, feel like giving in, test due in 2 months and suspecting
other work coming.

Have been offered a cluster from a 96 Mav, ok dials will be in different layout
but what of connection(s), is it a wired speedo vs other older style.

Thanks

Pretty sure totally different connections.

Have you tried opening your cluster and redoing the solder joints?

Yes it was when several of us visited Jonella in France a couple or three years ago, earlier dash will not fit, you just need to remove display unit and with a fine point soldering iron and maybe a glass re solder all the PCB connections, with vibration, heat and cold they develop dry joints, Rick

I have the same issue with mine Richard.
If The weather is going to be sh**e at the weekend i might whip mine out and have a go at re soldering the joints.
I will take some pics for you if i do get round to doing it:thumb2
