Had a lot of dealings with this MK1 Cortina GT up till a few years ago.

Is it a 1600 GT then or a 1600 E as badged?


We think the 1600GT badge had been put on :confused:
Or engine transplanted :nenau
But the car is logged as a 1600E :thumbs

He also has a mint Lotus Cortina that has its 1st outting in the new year :naughty No expence stored :eek: He hasnt shown anybody & wont until its done :bow

His getting the 1 in the photos inspected by the owners club to give there verdict :augie

A 1600E would have a 1600 GT spec engine so the sticker is correct. Though there was also a 1600GT model (and a 1500GT come to that).

Car looks mint though, better than factory.
 
His well happy with it :D
As far as he knows its 100% origional parts & all genuine
All his done is strip it down to every last nut & bolt
Clean it
& then rebuild it
Refurbed the wheels
The only things that are new are the tyres,battery,fluids & filters
& now its his daily drive :eek: :bow
His Lotus will be dry summer use & concours shows :thumbs

It's got sexy curves n that:sly

Mind you, if I had a lot of beans I'd have a tricked out MK1 with some sort of screaming V8 in it and fook plod and and and oh now I've wet myself..............................back in abit:splif
