my exhaust is blowing a bit , its not too bad at the moment , but i guess its gonna need mending / replacing before long , ive been told that its blowing a bit from the flexi pipe , is that easy /cheap to replace and is it universal across the t2 range , or do i need a full exhaust ?

answers on a postcard please to confused in brighouse , or post in here

its just the front section of the pipe and the flexi bit is what would usually go first on an exhaust that had all been replaced at once....its flexi because of the vibration from the diesel (flexi not present on the petrol version).

You need to google a few exhaust suppliers and compare the pictures/part numbers. Ought to be the same as a T2 but......

I have sent you a post card. So you should find out next week...:lol:lol

Most motorfactors can locate the part from the vehicle reg No. So ask them what make it is, and the part number as well as the supply only price.
Start from there.

You should find out it is the same as all diesel 2.7's :nenau :nenau
I think it was mentioned on here that the SWB + LWB front pipe are the same part.

I had mine done at Kwik fit, a few years back and they had to drop the front cross member to get the pipe in. Others on here have managed without as I recall.

Just had the same bit replaced on mine £100 well ripped off, hard to fit because gearbox x member has to be removed. SORRY PETE, KEV

Stainless Replacements PD Gough

I used PD Gough at Whatnal in Notts they did complete system including the flexi bit for my R3mR with standard noise output.

Mind you I aim to run my truck until it is beyond economic repair so maybe its a bit pricey for you mine was £500 fitted front to back with lifetime warranty and new hangar rubbers.

I had one made up for a Merc W124 230E and I had it 7 years and my mate had it off me and ran it for another 5 years and it was still good when it was sold a year or so back.

Sure you might have a more local fabricator who will make you one in stainless if it floats your boat.

milners have one for £37 ..... will it be ok though , anyone know ?

I replaced the whole lot on mine and used a terrano system no probs on the mistral briggie they are the same :thumb2
