Hello. I need to change the air con belt on my N reg 2.7TD Mistral.
Does anybody know the best way to do this.
On mine I have 3 separate belts. P/S, Alternator, and Air con.
The air con drives off the engine via a small slave pulley (which I guess is a tensioner....)
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Many Thanks. Bob.

Change all 3.

If one gone the others might too. If all same age

Air Con Belt Changed

Just changed the air con belt on my 2.7TD. I had trouble getting the adjuster to slacken. The key if you don't know is to loosen the large nut which is in the centre of the pulley wheel. Once this is loosened then use the adjust to move the pulley down. This releases the belt.

yep change all three, you have to take the others off anyway as the AC one is third one in, easy to do if a little cramped for space and they will all need fiddling over the fan blades, personally if doing all three I would remove the rad as it makes the job so much easier and and gives you a chance to check the rad water and other possible problems such as rad hoses on their last legs and also possible rad damage when getting belts on and off over fan blades, Rick
