My 2002 Terrano is an auto and I've had it two years. When I first got it there were no dasboard indicator lights to show when overdrive was not engaged , nor to show auto box oil temp warning. Just thought it would be fuffed bulbs.
Overdrive works OK and gearbox doesn't get hot , so I've never worried about the "missing" lights.
Took instrument panel out yesterday to replace the two clock / odometer bulbs and was surprised that I couldn't find lampholders for the above missing lights.
Wonder if (A) these lights are only accessible from inside the cluster (as per direction indicator arrow bulbs)------OR-------(B)as I suspect, that the cluster has been replaced by one from a manual gearbox model: naughty. The cluster has felt tip markings which could indicate that it may have come from a recon place or a scrappy.
Can anyone please throw some light on the likelyhood of A or B being the
case ?.:thumbs
