misfire, help please

i change the air filter yesterday on our truck 27tdi, wife used it and told me it was playing, so i used it today and sure enough it's misfiring 2500 rpm upwards, starting and tickover is fine, but when she reaches 2500 then it starts misfiring and i cant get more than 2500-3000 rpm, any thoghts would be appreciated. :nenau:doh

sounds like you buggered the maf up give it a wiggle or somit the (wiring)

unplug the MAF if it runs the same then .... oh dear it's duff.

I think it may be possible to clean it with carb cleaner but not to sure.

i was thinking it had something to do with the air filter, just wanted some ideas to try tomorrow, bloody marvelous, i liked the picture of your girl friend you sent me lol, by the looks of it you will need a tracking device mate just in case you go missing. :jesterbg

BTW Tez, have you done the bleedin obvious and stuck the old filter back in, just in case?

the old filter was knackered and went in the bin, im going to clean the maf tomorrow and check all wiring, etc, :thumbs:doh

colin will have to send it to you, i have deleted mine but it's definatley model material and i doubt you wont see her mate, especialy now you have found your love glove, lmfao, i think she has been in the paper.

just give it a wiggle you cant have buggered the maf changing the filter . FFS. christ mines been drinking water and messed it up big time but ok when dry... they aint that sensitive .... paul is, but not maf's

my filter looked as if it had half the sahara dessert in it mate, hit it with the air line and nearly choked, :lol
