Mirror covers

Guys I want to take my chrome mirror covers off to paint them, just don't like the chrome look. How do they come off? Do they just unclip or are they screwed somewhere? Can't work out how they are attached.

I would have thought they just clip on, never had one off, so can't be sure though. :nenau

The mirrors are a complete sealed unit, you can remove thew glass from them tho
