Can anybody give me the part numbers for the mini fuel filter and spring for a Mk1 Maverick 1993 2.7TD SWB please?

I seem to have been running without one since I bought it..........

I asked my local garage to fit an in-line filter (as suggested on here) while they had the fuel tank off for steam cleaning and they were strongly against the idea as they felt it might cause the fuel to run back. I trust their judgement as they build and race off road vehicles.

So I'm back to sourcing the original mini filter.

Cheers

Dave

Dave dont replace it fit and in line one there is some doubt if it does much as the later models do not have one but make maintenance easyer fit an in line one just to be sure :|

HI DAVE .
I TO FOUND OUT MY TRUCK HADNT HAD ONE IN PLACE FOR THE LAST 3 YRS. DONT KNOW HOW LONG ITS BEEN MISSING BUT ITS DONE 174K
STILL HASNT .
I WOULD GO WITH THE INLINE JOB ,BECAUSE THE THREAD CAN STRIP ON THE PUMP THEN YOU ARE IN REAL TROUBLE .

id put an inline one on i put one on my maverick clear plastick type never a problem and being clear you can see whats comming up your fuel line.
only problem i can see with that idea is poor sealing letting air in but couple jubilee clips will be more than up to job!

Fit the in line mini filter between the main filter and the pump, i dont see how the fuel can run back when the pump stops pumping the fuel stops in line, also the mini filter would be in the highest point after the main fuel filter and the pump is lower so it could only run forward but this would be impossable because of the fuel pump :?: correct me if i am wrong :?:

itll be ok mate like jim says its gonna be lower or at least level with main filter so running back not gonna be isue loadsa people on here done it i did it to mistral and maverick without any problems the pump filter pain in but and if you do strip thread its a nightmare jim can vouch for that!
