Mini filter

Can a noobie like me manage to clean the mini filter?

Can anyone picture it? Or describe where it is? I'm feeling brave :naughty

The only difference from the down load is your mini filter will be inside the banjo bolt you remove:thumb2 cleaned mine with carb cleaner

Can I pull it out to clean it? Or must it remain inside the banjo?

Oops, just seen the workshop bit, didn't realise it was so difficult to get to. Not touching it.

Both of the ones i've done haven't wanted to leave the banjo bolt:doh drilled the first one out but on this truck i've left it in place & just soaked it in carb cleaner & let it dry fully (had a cuppa) before refitting it

It'll go on my to do list. Don't fancy removing the belt n stuff, especially at this time of night. Something told me it was accessible near the fuel filter for some reason :doh

It's not hard to do at all Alex you just slacken off the power steering pump if you need a bit more room & take out the banjo bolt no fishing around in the pump like the earlier models & as your running veg there is a higher chance it'll be gunked up more & if it is really dirty & blocks you won't be going any where:augie

Mine got sell gunked up when I was running veg, so I stopped using it, not had a problem since

I did mine in situe with a 1/4 Inch Drive Socket Set, 2 extension bars, a flexi head and a 19mm socket.

Just make sure you take note of and don't lose the gubbins in between.

As already said, yours will be different than the ones in the download as they sit in the actual pipe as a sort of a sock suspended in a spring.

Your's is one of the newer types that sits in the actual bolt heads itself, pay close attention as they are close to miss.
