I was driving along the other day with the sat nave on and tutting to myself about the difference in the speed showing on the sat nav as opposed to the car speedo.
We have discussed this before and seem to agree that the sat nav is more accurate than the speedo. However one thing occurred to me.
As there is no cable for the speedo and it is all electronic, dose it use the same sensor for the odometer and could the discrepancy be reproduced there.
At 100kph the sat nav shows 88kph,thats 12% out . if you apply this to the odometer,my truck which now has 106k on the clock would have actualy done only 93K :nenau
