Evening chaps the T2 is showing an engine fault, the MIL lamp is on and I've been through the proceedure in downloads.

However the fault isnt listed, it flashed for 96 (nine long flashes fdollowed by six short flashes)
Any suggestions?

Just watched a bit longer and its showing two other faults as well one of which is crank shaftsensor.

Off to the garage tomorrow me thinks

Hi,

The code 96 is,
Engine control module(EMC)/injector needle lift sensor incorrect signal.

Probable cause Injector needle lift sensor.

That is how it's written on a disc i got from autodata. Please get advise before spending any money i would hate to give wrong info.

Iggyf is correct about code 96,

I seem to have left a couple off the bottom of the list when I put the download together

If you have a few codes then I would check the system voltage is ok, along with the earths.

Engine seems to start fine but is lacking a lot of power, seems like the turbo isnt working.

Talking to the garage apparently it is something to do with a nock sensor.

He's asked nissan and ford and apparently they don't have a nock sensor.

Coder he is reporting is P0325

That’s an OBD2 Code!!

OBD2 came in around the year 2000 if you have OBD2 you will have a 16 pin connector.

If you have an OBD1 you will have a 14 pin connector??

Curious

Sorry I made a bit of a mistake and posted another message on the mechanical forum.

I think I've tracked it down to the Needle lift sensor. How often do these go US and can I replace the sensor or does it need to be the whole injector?

THis looks like its getting expensive all of a sudden 8O

Any suggestions greatly appreciated
