Micra gearstick mod

So, men.....

Been driving the old Micra ratmobile a lot lately because its such a hoot and cheap as chips to run. Teeny weeny niggle though....plenty leg room but when its in 5th the gearstick gets in the way of my lanky left leg.

I've seen a VW T2 with a gearstick that seemed modded with some kind of dogleg affair and wondered if anyone knew owt? Looks like about 6" inches have been chopped off the stick and then reattached with a dogleg bracket that effectively moves the gearknob over about 3" or so......just what I need!

take the knob off, it a longer one, or an extention

When I was a kid my dad told me that because welsh sheep lived in hilly country, their legs on one side eventually evolved to be longer than the other side, so that they wouldn't fall over and roll downhill.:doh

For years I thought he was taking the piss but then I moved to Wales....
