None that I have come across, probably one car in five is a 4WD, but that's because so many people live up mountain tracks, they are a vehicle of necessity rather than fun (where we stay is 25 miles from the coast, up in the mountains).
My daughter, who lives there (me and the wife just spend around six months of the year there), has a Mitsubishi Montero, her next door neighbour a Mitsubishi Pajero and various friends of theirs have most models of Mitsubishi 4x4's between them, plus Vitaras are pretty popular - strangely it appears to be mostly the Spanish who buy Terranos and Mavericks, but then, they were built there.
The downside of buying a 4x4 over there is, because 50% of people need them because of the terrain, they really hold their price, like 3-4000€ for a 12-year old Terrano - hence the reason I bought mine in the UK, drove it down to the the Malaga region, used it for 15 months or so on the UK plates (until the Guardia starting clamping down), then put it on to Spanish plates - an expensive business, but still cheaper than buying one in Spain.
