i also have the satmap which i use to use for mountain biking then for walking now for 4x4ing as it get good gps even under trees mountain rescue uses the satmap so must be good

they are good, but mine cost me £50 and £35, I Have a road angel navigator before but could not get it to run MM so had to buy the adventurer version. But copied the SD card and now runs on both.

the satmap is the device as well as the software and the device has a very good gps even under trees not deep under but enough for the other devices to loose signal thats y mountain rescue use satmap

Ahh I see, when ever I've been in the woods the off tracks I use OS maps for iPhone, works very well until you loose signal:doh

I have the sat Nav app on my Galaxy and it works fine.The only prob is my Fat Finger Syndrome.The moral of the story is if you put in the wrong PO code it will take you to the wrong place !:augie

What can be used on Ipad, I have a couple of free apps that use the on board Gps and I don't have a phone sim card enabled as yet, so they are so far free to use.:thumb2

Iv'e just ordered a gps usb dongle for my dell netbook, hope to use it as satnav. anyone else done this in case I get snags. David.

Just got a toshiba tablet for the truck to run mm cause I thought it was still in beta mode so mm free for windows :naughty

pete do you have the MM maps already, if so you can buy a android app called MM tracker (£5) which use the .qct maps.

My mate just got MM for his android and it was £12 for a certain amount of tiles, cant remember the exact amount.

Adz is sending me his whole cd and uk maps package for, erm, "backup" :augie
So I will have in a day or two

not sure, but they are selling the maps, I will ask him for a link when hes online next. still think its beta as theres a few bugs but nothing too bad.

Let me have a copy of that CD, if you get the backups from him i'd just use MM tracker (not affiliated with memory map and theres a few version of it) apparently its better than Memory maps.

Think its beta but had some problem with it force close but start it up again straight away with no problems its only the app which is free you can either download pay for maps or if u got like me whole of great Britain at 1.50 scale just syn phone with pc and drag ur maps across to the memory map folder in the phone think its in phone memory then downloads then memory map folder hope this helps. I got app from memory map website good luck.
