first time asking here so hope you can help.
My 2002 ford maverick 3.0ltr seems to have developed a problem with its
idle speed when braking or lifting foot of Accelerator pedal and that is the revs are dropping to zero before climbing back up to normal idle speed.
Very noticeable when slowing right down for corners as steering gets heavy as though the engine is cutting out (and has cut out on more than one occasion) when sitting at lights or upon starting idle is fine no surging or anything. also when driving i have noticed that if my lights are on that as soon as i lift of the Accelerator they dim down also noticeable with blowers on they slow down before speeding back up.
is there an engine sensor that should keep the revs at a minium level to avoid this and if so which one is it.
hope you can help do not fancy paying ford prices to hook up to a diagnostic system.
many thanks, karl
