has anyone ever changed a front crossmember on a 95 ford maverick? If so could you tell me if they bolt on or are they welded because my one is ready to fall off!!!

Thanks ian. I have been able to source a replacement but it has to come directly from ford at a price of £180!! so i'll probably have a go at sorting the on thats on or fabricating one myself.
Are we talking front valance as in body work panels?.
If we are, why do you have to make one, is it not possible to cut one out, if its welded on, from another vehicle and then trim to size, cut and tidy up and replace.
Is this what you would get from Ford / Nissan.
hi mav .
its the crossmember that carries the radiator that i re fabricated..
i cut the old one out as carfully as i could with grinder and air chisel.
then cut out the rusted out parts then cut and weldeded new sections in.
then extended the ends enough to provide enough to weld back it in.
also had to cut front vallance off just below indicators and re build that.
i had a lot of steel in stock so was easy`er for me to do than run around looking for replacement panels.
