I have just washed my Mav & noticed that I have a centre cap missing off my front n/s wheel: On closer inspection & after removing my o/s wheel, I appear to have AVM manual hubs which until now I was blissfully unaware of...
So far so good, but neither side has it's cover (the bit to turn to lock/unlock), however I can stick my fingers in & turn the inner bit to lock & unlock the hubs, which appears to work.
The upshot of this is, either does anyone have a knackered pair I can scavenge the bits from or will it do no harm to leave them as they are? (I can supply pics if it helps)
I also have a pair of auto hubs in good order if anyone's interested in a deal of some sort..
Thanks

Part 2: Just been out to double check on some muddy bits: They appear to be in 4wd all the time, despite turning & clicking into place each end: Any clues?

I would say bite the bullet and purchase a brand new pair if you can. I have AVM's and the centre caps do not fit either, I was going to make a nice neat hole in the centre caps for the AVM's to fit through but I aint got round to it.

PS have you seen the workshop in the downloads section regarding fitting AVM's, you may be able to see which bit is missing from yours.

tyr milner off road i am sure they do service kits for the manual hubs they may be seized on! so they may do sapres, but they aren't all thet exspensive so might be worth a new pair?
