Manual gearbox oil

I want to change the oil in the gearbox's on both our Terrano's. What is the best way of flushing out the remnants of the old oil once it has been drained? I'm thinking a short couple of dozen yards or so drive with a gallon of parafin sloshing about in the box, draining that and then filling with new oil.
Any other ideas?

I would only be going to that extreme if the oil has become contaminated with water, otherwise there is no benefit to be had at all with flushing, Rick

Ok will just drain and refil.
