MAF

Does it matter which way up the MAF is?...

the reason I ask, is I noticed that on my car, the MAF is on the side of the pipe, rather than the top. I think I may have occidentally put it like that when I had everything off of that side of the engine, and I only just noticed that in all the other pictures of other peoples engines, it is on the top.

The car seems to be running fine, so I guess not, but I thought I would ask.

Cheers... I couldn't see any reason, presuming it was all electronic, but you never know.
