My past 3 MOT's (all different test stations) have all passed without the rear bench fitted.

they dont have to be in BUT it then states on your test cert that its a 5 seat vehicle(NOW POS INSURANCE PROBS). KEV.

I guess I'll have to put them back , but they're a pain to refit and set up. David.

Mine were folded with dog crate in front of them but never thought to check if it says 5 or 7 seats on MOT.

Just looked at my VT20 MOT test certificates and they only have a section "For Vehicles with more than 8 passenger seats"
There are 3 subsections under this that are all marked "N/A"

I've put it back now but will ask at mot station tomorrow. David.

No you don't - categorically. I've had five LWBs over the last 15 years so more MoTs than you can shake a stick at, and the third row of seats always came out on Day one and went into the garage.

I even put a Micra through MoT with the rear seats out and the belts removed and it passed without comment....just an advisory saying that they were absent so couldn't be inspected.
