Right, the tech specs say use API CF4 or ACEA B3-96 etc oil for the engine, went down the local garage and the oil they had was API CF4 / ACEA B2! As it was API CF4 standard I assume it'll be ok to use?

Also, how often do people change the transmission/axle oils?

First major service for pre-winter driving so want to get as much done as I need to.

Rear axle LSD oil is always worth changing as garages rarely seem to have touched it.....
 
Thanks briggie, I did look at this maintenance pdf which is what confused me originally. A quick check with the owners manual confirmed that API CF-4/ACEA B2 oil is what's recommended, so can now proceed with engine flush etc.

Might have a look at the rear axle oil lacroupade see what sort of state it's in.
