I've read some where you can reduce the slip on a lsd by adding spaces behind the plates has anyone done this or is it a big nono as I have the renault rear diff

I've not done it (yet) but the R180 diff is supposed to be shim-able to reduce slip. No idea about yours but maybe Rick will see this :D

No it really works.
That's why when your lsd oil is ready for changing you can get the back end to kick out on corners.
It doesn't let the plates slip as much and tightens up:thumb2

What about some sand in there too :augie

not good for the bearings and crown wheel and pinion and planet gears, plus wear the clutch plates out real quick, but guess you was joking, hard to say after two bottles of very nice red, Rick
