I have just checked my coolent levels.

I put nearly one litre of antifreeze in the radiator, and the coolent bottle was empty - this took around 1.5 litres to bring it up to the max line.

Should I be worried?

What should I be looking for?

Do these suffer from head failure easily or is it more likely a radiator or hose leak?

:(

More likely to be the water pump leaking.

If it don't go down again no problem. If it does look for leaks on heater matrix in cab, water pump drips and splashes and rotten rubber pipes. The antifreeze will help find any leaks. David.

Which is why they make it so brightly coloured ! Did you sqeeze all the air out of the pipes when topping it up ? Is the heater working properly ? Run the engine and look for drips underneath then trace any that you find. A wet carpet won't neccessarily mean your matrix is broken, it could mean the body and wing drain holes are blocked. Just fixed a drip on mine with some leak stop stuff, can't remember the name but it wasn't cheap !
