Loud creaking from front on full lock and over bumps

Just picked up a tidy 51 plate with 140k on it

Couple of issues most important being a loud creaking noise when turni g on full lock and when going over kerbs.

Could it be torsion bars need greaseing at some point or perhaps a bush ?

What is common ?

Easy fix put some grease on the steering stops General purpose grease common problem sound like the car is dropping too bit

Ps you can replace the steering stops they is a procedure in the quick links

YUP very common, easy fix and long lasting, quick dab of grease and bobs your aunty

as everyone else says, its steering stops, i had the same problem too

I also had this problem, you really wont beleive thats all it is as it sound like your tearing the truck to bits. The stops have nylon bushs on them from new, so dont need any grease, but it time they fall off. You now have metal rubbing on metal. the good news is thats what it is supposed to do as it stops the stearing going to far. Look from the front of the truck on the inner wheel side and you will see a shiny bolt like thing sticking toward you, that sits in the cup on the cross member as you stear, just fill the cup like bit with some good grease. Simples :thumbs :thumbs

1 front, 1 rear of front drive shaft

Amazing for me really though, as i like to go round the rear every now and again. :lol
